Mums we are amazing. We have families who mean the world to us, so why are we the ones sitting on the sideline carrying the bags or being the ones always taking the pictures rather than being in the pictures?
We as mums are very good at organising everyone else, but then take the sideline role of actually being part of the adventures with our kids.
Can you watch my 30 second clip I made for you on this exact topic? -
One key time I notice so many parents standing back is at the santa photo event.
The kids are dressed up and smiling nicely for the photo, while mum and dad are off to the side.
But santa photos are family photos. They represent the year that was. The reasoning for standing to the side because to you, your not at your desired weight, or your not... needs to stop. You are present today and these kids call you mum. When they look back at their photo album and see hundreds of photos of just them and no you, what impact will this bring? The memories of life together will not be there for keepsake.
Each year, Maty and I get into the picture. These just go home (and into a draw, one day it will be an album) but the year was remembered.
My family is not perfect, we are a little crazy. We are not posed, but we are real.
This year I am sharing our picture with you as you are part of my family.
My challenge to you, is will you also be part of your family photos this Christmas time?
